Identity, Values & Becoming
For when you’re figuring out who you are outside of everyone else’s expectations and what you actually want for yourself.

Individual therapy
Individual therapy for teens ages 14–17, young adults, adults, and older adults navigating the messy parts of being human, figuring out who they are, and building a life that feels more like their own.
Explore Therapy OptionsMaybe you're questioning who you are, what you believe, who you love, or what kind of life you actually want. Maybe you've spent years being who everyone needed you to be, and you're wondering where you fit into all of it.
Therapy can be a place to get curious about those questions. To explore your identity, understand the experiences that shaped you, challenge expectations, and make choices that feel more connected to the person you're becoming.
And when things feel heavy? There's room for that, too.
A place to begin
You might know exactly what you want help with, or you might just know something doesn’t feel right. You don’t need to figure out which box it belongs in before you get here.
We can start with what’s happening, get curious about how the different pieces connect, and figure out what might actually help.
For when you’re figuring out who you are outside of everyone else’s expectations and what you actually want for yourself.
For when your feelings hit hard, your brain won’t give you a break, or getting through the day takes more out of you than you’d like.
For when comparison, food, your body, or the way you see yourself is taking up more space than you want it to.
For when you’re trying to care about other people without losing yourself somewhere along the way.
Who I work with
Therapy for people making sense of who they are, what they need, and what comes next.
Teens Ages 14–17 • Young Adults • Adults • Older Adults
For teen clients, parent or guardian involvement may be included when clinically appropriate. When dedicated parent or caregiver involvement is needed, it is scheduled as a separate appointment so the teen’s individual therapy time remains their own.
How we might explore together
There isn't one right way to do therapy. We'll figure out what actually works for you.
DBT-informed interventions and practical skills for emotions, relationships, distress, and everyday life, not comprehensive DBT or between-session phone coaching.
Exploring what you want, what's within your control, and the choices that move you toward the life you want.
Looking at patterns between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
A collaborative space where you don't have to perform, impress, or have the “right” answer.
Slowing things down, noticing what’s happening, and making choices that feel more connected to what matters to you.
Not everything we experience comes out neatly in conversation. Sometimes we might use writing, music, imagery, metaphors, or creative exercises to explore what you're feeling, how you see yourself, and what matters to you. There's no pressure to be artistic or do anything a particular way. It's simply another way to get curious.
Ways We Can Work Together
Texas telehealth | Teens ages 14–17 & adults
Starting therapy comes with enough unknowns. The practical stuff doesn’t have to be one of them. Here’s what you can expect when it comes to sessions and cost.
The Hidden Meadow is a private pay practice and does not currently accept insurance.
15 MINUTES
An optional, video-only conversation about fit, questions, and next steps. Not psychotherapy or an emergency evaluation.
90 MINUTES
Your first paid appointment. Time to understand what’s bringing you here, your history, current concerns, goals, and safety needs.
55 MINUTES
Our standard individual therapy session.
80 MINUTES
Additional time when a longer session would be helpful for the work we’re doing together.
When I work with a teen, the teen is my client, and their individual therapy time belongs to them. Parents and guardians are also an important part of their support system and may be involved in treatment when clinically appropriate.
When dedicated parent or caregiver involvement is needed, we’ll schedule a separate parent or caregiver consultation so the teen does not have to give up their individual therapy time.
30 MINUTES
A dedicated session with a parent or guardian when more time is needed to support the teen’s treatment. This is not individual therapy for the parent or standalone family therapy.
This is a separate paid appointment and does not take time away from the teen’s individual therapy session. Routine administrative communication and brief care updates are not separately billed. Safety communication follows clinical necessity.
